The Full Moon in Aquarius coincides with the beginning of the Lions Gate, which is the powerful window of time when Sirius begins to rise with the Sun. 

The “Dog Days” of summer are known for their searing heat and intensity as the Sun, resplendent in its own sign, aligns with the Star of humanity. 

The full moon in Aquarius brings the focus onto the Leo Aquarius opposition. This axis is about self-consciousness versus community consciousness; personal ego versus selfless humanitarian work; sovereign creativity, and the channelling of this energy into useful endeavours. When the two are blended, true magnificence occurs. 

Sun Jupiter Conjunction

We have a very dramatic energy with an exact Sun Jupiter conjunction in Leo; contrasted with a Moon Pluto conjunction in the light of the full moon. This is major. The Sun and Jupiter blend their energy in a burst of regal splendour, as Jupiter’s vast wisdom and limitless abundance is illuminated by the solar light. This is considered by many to be the luckiest day of the year, as Jupiter rules good fortune and benevolence.

The full moon conjunct Pluto, however, has the task of rooting out the shadows. Many things will come to light in this alignment that takes no prisoners. Hidden shadows are revealed, like the Moon card in the tarot. The loyal dog becomes a howling wolf; the crab becomes a scorpion; and the dark elements playing beneath the surface have nowhere to hide. 

The fixed signs tend to be very dramatic; and this is a lunation of major drama, so take some time to reflect and integrate if a lot is going on for you. Any planets or angles around 6* of the fixed signs will make this more intense for you.

As Sirius begins to rise with the Sun, we are being offered the chance to follow a new turn of the spiral. As we rise again, wiser than before, we can once more be filled with light. Do we choose to continue in the same patterns, like a needle stuck in a groove – or do we dare to lift ourselves higher, and find a new track that is a golden pathway, leading to new abilities, and true riches of spirit.

Whatever is happening outside, in the 3D world, keep connecting to the flame in your heart, the fire of your soul. This is what you must follow. When you look back you will see that, to become stronger, you needed to break in new muscles.

The full moon in Aquarius is really about connecting to a higher purpose. Many of you are already following your purpose, and refining it. Some claim to be, however, when it comes down to it, they follow the path of personal ego as they have not truly lifted themselves out of the groove. 

When you are challenged, will you follow your personal desires, or what you know is the true path of your soul?

This lunation is asking you to dig deep, and recognise the shadows that are playing out in your life. You are being asked to release all that stands in the way of the embodiment of your glorious light. This may be very hard. When illusions are shattered, it hurts the mind. Sometimes it hurts the heart. And then you continue on, renewed, revitalised, and much, much stronger than before.
